Project description: After a period of monitoring movement to the existing property, it was deemed to have stabilised sufficiently to be able to carry out remedial works to the intermediate floor and roof structures
along with a full refurbishment to allow the property to be let on completion.
The structural works, which involved re-levelling of the first-floor joists and supplementing all second floor joists, had to be carefully sequenced so that no more than one quarter of the structure was worked on at any one time thus reducing any additional stress on the existing structure. Once all structural repairs were carried out the slate roof covering was renewed and a full scheme of refurbishment was carried out to include, thermal and acoustic insulation installation, full re-wire, new lighting, fire alarm and data installations, new heating system and renewal of all internal doors and casings, floor finishes and full internal and external redecoration.
